06.06: laadad/ fairs

Laupäev oli väga kiire, missiooniks oli käia ära kahel laadal: Võrtsjärve kalalaadal ja Viljandi Hansa laadal. Hakkasime pool kümme Võrtsjärve poole sõitma, et kümneks kohale jõuda. Isegi ilmaga vedas, päike kogu aeg paistis ja natuke oli tuuline. Kalalaat oli sel aastal natuke väiksem aga vaatamist oli küllaga. Vaatetornist avanes imeilus vaade Võrtsjärvele ning laadale, tahtsin minna ka paadiga sõitma aga kuna pidime sõitma edasi Viljandisse, jäi seekord ära.

Saturday was very busy day, my mission was to visit two fairs: lake Võrtsjärve fish fair and Viljandi Hansa fair. We started to drive at half ten to get to lake Võrtsjärve at ten. We even got lucky with the weather, it was sunny and hot all the time and a little wind. The fish fair was a bit smaller than last year but there was still much to watch. From the lookout there was a beautiful view to the lake and to the fair, I also wanted to take the boat ride but we had to drive to Viljandi so that got canceled.

Pärast Võrtsjärve sõitsime edasi Viljandisse. Kui kohale jõudsime oli juba väga palju rahvast ning muidugi ei olnud kuhugi autot parkida. Kuna see aasta oli hansa laat rahvusvaheline, olid ka teiste hansa linnade esindajad seal. Esinduste telkidest just saadi huvitavaid asju, mida olen ainult kuulnud. Pärast pikka päeva Viljandis tuli sõita tagasi koju.

After lake Võrtsjärve we drove to Viljandi. When we got there, there was already so much people and of course we didn't have any place to park the car. This year Viljandi Hansa fair was international so there were representatives form others Hansa cities. There was so many interesting things in the representatives tents. After a long day we had to drive back home.

15.05: Tallinn

Mul oli eelmine reede vaba päev ning otsustasin, et sõidan pealinna. Tallinnas on miskit, mis meelitab mind kogu aeg uuesti sinna sõitma- kas see on pealinna elu või see, et seal on alati midagi uut vaadata ning külastada.

Last friday I had a free day from school so I decided I will go to the capital. There is something about Tallinn that makes me want to go there every time more- I don't know if it's the capital life or that there is always something new and exciting to look and visit.

Kõige esimene asi, mis ma tegin, oli, et jalutasin mööda vanalinna, mida ma pole ammu teinud. Isegi kella 9 ajal oli vanalinn juba paksult välismaalasi täis ning oli huvitav erinevaid keeli kuulata. Nägin isegi meie kuulsusi, kellega ma kahjuks pilti teha ei saanud.

Firstly I had a little walk in old town- I haven't done that a long time. Even at 9 am there were so many tourists and it was interesting to listen so many different languages. I even saw some of our celebrities but I couldn't get a photo with them.

Järgmisena ma läksin kohta, kus ma pole käinud aastast 2011- Laululavale. Seal istudes tuli meelde nii palju häid mälestusi kahest laulupeost, kus ma käinud olen. Enne ära minekut, pidin korraks lavale jooksma ning vaatama seda suurt tühja muru platsi, mis on tavaliselt rahvast paksult täis.

Next I went to place I haven't been since 2011- Song Festival grounds. Just sitting there and watching the stage and sea behind it brought back so much memorys from two Song Festivals I've been to. Before I went to next location I had to run up to the stage and look down at the empty square which was usually full with people.

Järgmisena läksin Pirita kloostri varemetesse, see oli koht, kuhu ma olen tükk aega tahtnud minna ning nüüd leidsin selleks aega. Minu jaoks oli see väga huvitav kogemus, näha nii varemeid kui ka vana kalmistut, seal oli nii palju ajalugu.

Next I went to St. Bridget's Convent ruins where I wanted to go a long time ago and now I got time for it. For me it was very interesting experience, to see the ruins and very old graveyard, there was so much history.

Pärast seda einestasin Lidos ning jalutasin veel natuke linnas, pärast seda tuli minna rongi peale.

After that I had lunch in Lido and then I walked again a bit in old town, after that it was time to go on the train.

10 lemmik kohta Tartus/ 10 favourite places in Tartu

Midagi reisijatele. Kuna Tartu on mu kodulinn, mõtlesin, et kirjutan 10 oma lemmik kohta Tartus. Pooled kohad on seotud söögiga, kuna mulle meeldib proovida erinevaid söögikohti ning toite.

Something for travelers (shoutout to Hector :) ). As Tartu is my home town I thought I make a list of my 10 favourite palaces in Tartu. Half of the places are food related because I like to go to different places and try different food.

Tartu Linnaraamatukogu/ Tartu Library

Olles suur raamatute lugeja, ei saanud ma listist välja jätta raamatukogu. Suvel sai seal käidud peaaegu iga nädal. Seal on palju, mida lugeda.

Being a book lover I couldn't forget our library. In the summer I went there almost every week. There is just so much to read. 

Krisostomus raamatupood/ Krisostomus book shop

Teine koht raamatute saamiseks on minu jaoks Krisostomuse raamatupood. Sealt tellin ma raamatuid, mida väga kusagil eriti ei ole.

Second place for getting books for me is Krisostomus book shop. From there I order books which are not in library or other bookstores.

Toomemägi/ Toome hill

Toomemägi on koht, kus mulle meeldib käia jalutamas hea ilma korral. Sealt on väga ilus linnavaade ning kõige ilusam on seal sügisel, kui lehed on värvilised. Seal asuvad Toomkiriku varemed, Tähetorn, Musumägi, kohvik Rotund. See on väga populaarne koht pildistamise jaoks.

Toome hill is my favourite place to go. There is a very beautiful view to the city and the best time to go there is in autumn when the leaves are colorful. There are Cathedral ruins, Observatory, Kissing Hill, cafe Rotund. It is also very popular place to take pictures. 

   

Kohvipaus/ Coffee Break

Kohvipaus on väike koht Rüütli tänaval. Avastasin selle 2013. aastal ning nüüd ei suuda lõpetada seal käimist. Seal on väga hubane istuda, kui kohti on. See on populaarne üliõpilaste seas ning juhtub, et lõuna ajal on see neid täis. Seal on kõige paremad wrapid, mida soovitan proovida.

Coffee Break is little place in Rüütli street. I discovered it in 2013 and now I can't stop going there. It is very cozy place to go. It is very popular among students so in lunch time it can be full of people. They do the best wraps which I recommend to try. 

kohvik Werner/ cafe Werner

Kohvik Werner on tuntud üle Eesti ning see on kõige vanem kohvik Eestis. Ka Werner on väga hubane ning seal on väga mõnus istuda ning sõpradega aega veeta. Seal on kõige paremad koogid.

Cafe Werner is known all around Estonia and it is the oldest cafe in Estonia. Werner is also very cozy and it is nice to just relax there and have a good time with friends. There are the best cakes.

Pihlaka kondiiter/Pihlaka bakery

Pihlaka kondiiter alles avati paar kuud tagasi aga see on linlaste poolt juba vastu võetud. Seal müüakse nii kooke kui ka salateid. 

Pihlaka bakery just opened few months ago and it's already accepted by the people. There are sold variety of foods, starting with cakes and ending with salads. 

Raadi mõis/ Raadi manor

Raadi mõis on üks ajaloolisemaid kohti Tartus. See on väga ilus koht ning mulle meeldib seal väga jalutamas käia. 

Raadi manor is one of the historical places in Tartu. It is very beautiful place and I really like to go walking in there. 

Saialille pagar/ Saialill bakery

Saialille pagar on saanud minu lemmikuks just eelmine aasta. Nad küpsetavad kõike looduslikest asjades, nad ei lisa värv- ja säilivusaineid. Nende miinuseks võiks olla, et nad asuvad linnast väljas, paljud inimesed ei tea seda kohta või ei leia üles.

Saialill bakery has become my favourite just last year. They bake everything with natural things, they do not add colors and preservatives. Only minus is that they are located outside the city and a lot of people don't know the place or can't find it.

AHHAA teaduskeskus/ Science Center AHHAA

AHHAA teaduskeskus on väga huvitav ning seal võib aega veeta tunde. Iga paari kuu tagant tuleb uus ajutine näitus lisaks püsinäitusele. Ise olen üritanud kõik ajutised näitused ära külastada ning peaaegu on see ka õnnestunud. Teisel korrusel asub kohvik Newton, kus on kõige paremad Belgia vahvlid.

AHHAA science centre is very interesting and you can spend hours in there. In every few months there is new temporary exhibition in addition to the permanent exhibition. On the second floor is cafe Newton where they serve the best Belgian waffles. 

   

Tartu Laululava/Tartu Song Festival Grounds

Tartu Laululava on koht, kus käib suve jooksul iga tartlane. Suvel toimub seal väga palju üritusi. Kontserditel on seal väga hea käia. Ise olen ka mitu korda lava peale saanud Popkooripeo ajal, mis oli väga lahe tunne.

Tartu Song Festival Grounds is place where every people in the city goes in the summer. There are many events and concerts in there. I myself have sang on stage in Pop Song Festival and it was awsome.
